Image Resizer

Resize images to exact dimensions or percentages for web, social or print.

Image Resizer workspace

Add your images

Drag and drop JPG, PNG or WebP images here, or choose them from your device. You can resize several at once with the same settings.

Up to 100 MB and 100 megapixels per image, and up to 100 images at a time. Your images stay on your device: they are resized in your browser and are never uploaded.

Resize settings

How do you want to resize?

Each side can be up to 16,384 px. Resizing never crops the picture.

Save as

PNG is lossless. JPEG and WebP are saved at high quality (92).

Resized files do not include photo details such as camera model or location (EXIF). Your original files are never changed.

About this tool

What it does

Change an image to the exact size you need, whether that is set dimensions, a percentage, or a size for a particular platform.

Useful for preparing photos for websites, social posts, documents or print without opening an editor.

Main benefits

  • Exact pixel dimensions or percentage scaling
  • Useful for web, social media and print
  • One simple step instead of opening an editor

How to use

How to use the Image Resizer

  1. Add one or more JPG, PNG or WebP images.
  2. Choose how to resize: custom width and height, a percentage, or a common size. Each image shows the exact size it will become before you start.
  3. Choose the output format. For custom sizes, leave "Keep proportions" on unless you really want to stretch the picture.
  4. Select Resize, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP file.

Good to know

  • Resizing never crops. Common sizes fit the whole picture inside the box, so one side may be smaller than the box. They are common sizes, not a guarantee of what a given website or app requires.
  • Each side can be up to 16,384 px, and images are limited to 100 MB and 100 megapixels. Images that would exceed this are flagged individually.
  • Enlarging cannot add detail, so enlarged images may look soft. JPEG output cannot keep transparency; you choose the background colour used instead.

Your privacy

Images are resized by your browser on your own device. They are not uploaded, and no file or setting is saved. Read the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing change the proportions of my image?

Not unless you turn off "Keep proportions" in custom mode. With it on, the side you type is applied and the other side follows each image’s own shape, so nothing is stretched. Unlocking shows a warning because the picture can be distorted.

Does the Image Resizer crop pictures?

No. The whole picture is always kept. If you need a particular shape, choose a common size and the image is fitted inside it without cropping or stretching.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add several images and they are resized one after another with the same settings, with progress shown for each. You can stop the batch at any point and download the finished ones.
